I have a set of dry vocal stems in WAV format that now need the full studio treatment. The goal is clear: take these tracks, weave them seamlessly into the existing instrumental, and deliver a final mix and master that sounds “Highly Polished and Proffesional by normal studio record labels standards.”
What you will receive from me:
• 24-bit WAV vocals, already edited into takes
• The stereo instrumental file
What I need back:
• A fully mixed stereo WAV that translates on all playback systems
• A mastered version that meets current streaming loudness specs
• An MP3 for quick reference (and, if easy, separate acapella/instrumental bounces)
The workflow I’m used to includes surgical cleanup (pitch correction, timing, de-essing), tasteful effects for depth and character, and a finishing chain that can stand beside commercial releases. Whether you work in Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton, Cubase, Reaper, or another DAW, feel free to lean on your go-to plug-ins—Waves, FabFilter, iZotope Ozone, Slate, you name it—so long as the result is glossy, clear, and loud without sacrificing dynamics.
A first pass within a few days of file delivery and one revision round should be enough; let me know if you foresee a different timeline. Share a couple of similar tracks you’ve mixed or mastered so I can hear how you handle vocals against dense instrumentals.
