Rock Concert Audio Engineering
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m staging a live Rock/Pop performance for a crowd of up to 100 guests and need an experienced audio engineer to run the show from sound setup to the end of the performance. The room is medium sized, so clarity and controlled volume are critical—we want punchy guitars and drums, and tight vocals without overpowering the space.
Here’s what I’m looking for:
• Arrive for sound-check, set levels, and dial in front-of-house as well as assist with monitor mixes. The band will have independent in ear monitor mixes that they can control from an iPhone or iPad themselves.
• Operate the console remotely from an iPad throughout the performance, handling dynamics, EQ, gain, and effects to keep the mix consistent.
• Troubleshoot on the fly and help pack down when the gig wraps. There will be 2 others helping with breakdown.
All sound equipment will be provided. Just bring your talents. Experience with small venues, feedback control, and quick line-checks is a must. If this sounds like your wheelhouse, let’s lock in the date and run the best-sounding rock night our audience has heard.
