Repair Water-Damaged Car Amplifier - Location Albany Western Australia
Budget: $15 – $25 AUD
I have a Harman / Becker 9065 amplifier from a 2011 Mercedes-Benz that was exposed to water on a number of ocassions. The unit delivers no sound at all to the speakers. I have not attempted any troubleshooting or board-level work, so you will be starting with an untouched device.
I need a qualified technician who can:
• bench-test the amp, trace any faults and confirm every affected stage (power supply, pre-amp, output section, DSP, etc.);
• Once diagnosed & repairable, then carry out component-level repairs—replacing corroded parts, reflowing or cleaning where necessary—and restore full, clean audio output on all channels;
• run a final burn-in and document the results (scope traces or audio analyzer screenshots are welcome).
Please let me know what test equipment you’ll use—multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator, audio analyzer or similar—and how long you expect the diagnostic plus repair cycle to take once the unit is in your hands. I’ll deliver the amplifier to you and will need it returned fully working.
I'm assuming two prices here. One for diagnostics & dependent on the outcome, repairs.
