Mix & Master a 60s style song
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I have a 2-minute-30-second track with a definite 60s rock flavour that now needs its final polish. All raw multitrack stems are ready; what I need is a balanced, punchy mix followed by a clean, streaming-ready master. The mix should have a cool 60s analogue feel with not too much modern compression. Happy for subtle auto tune to be used on the vocals and strings - but not like modern pop music
Key focus: the classical string parts and the lead vocals must sit front-and-centre without losing the vintage drive of the guitars and drums. Think warm analogue character, clear separation, and a cohesive stereo image true to that era.
Turnaround is flexible but I’d like to sign everything off within the next month. I’ll supply reference songs once we start so you can match tonal colour and loudness.
Deliverables
• Mixed session file (your DAW of choice)
• 24-bit WAV master at 44.1 kHz
• High-quality MP3 for quick review. I would like a couple of opportunities to provide feedback and make minor changes to the mix before closing out the project
• Optional instrumental and a cappella bounces if created during the process
I’ll give feedback at each stage—mix, first master, and final pass—so we can lock the sound exactly where it needs to be. If you have experience recreating that classic 60s vibe while keeping modern loudness standards, let’s make this record shine.

Lastly, in terms of sound level for the final MASTERED mix, here is one of our own songs, to compare it to for levels
