MIDI Device and DAW Setup Project Music Genre: Metal
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm looking for an Audio Engineer for this task or a Music Specialist for this task I expect your profile to reflect as such.
Music genre Focus : Metal
Supporting Music Genres: Hip Hop / Electronica
Budget: $80-$100 fixed price (This is the usual price for DAW Setups and I'm providing 98% of what you need)
Main Goal: Setup my DAW for virtual instruments and Advanced Synthesizer use.
What is strictly prohibited: Sampling and splicing is strictly prohibited as I’m against these methods however virtual instrumentation and resynthesis is obviously allowed. The Rompler (EmulatorX3 etc. doesn’t count as still an advanced synthesizer more on this later).
Background: I’m at a point where I’m drastically changing what I’m going to do and now I’m getting into the audio game. Like most audio producers usually you have to have some sort of starting point. In this case I have chosen what I want to do and how I want do to it.
Problem 1: I have chosen the instruments I want to work with and know exactly what I want to do with them. However I have 1 major problem all the synthesizers and virtual instruments they are all set to stock they aren’t fine-tuned and configured for what I plan to achieve with these tools.
Problem 2: I have my MIDI devices set up correctly to run on my computer however the python scripts I use in order for my MIDI devices to work while they work fine as well the Python scripts they are completely unoptimized they are Fred Flintstone level slow. The pythons scripts need to be fine-tuned to produce accurate results and hit notes and riff as quick as I fling my hands.
High Level Task overview:
Task 1: Optimize Python scripts for Midi wireless computer keyboard keys and Midi GuitarHero Controller (Xbox 360).
The 3rd Python script is what will be created .Wav file to Synthesizer data script
Workflow:
User inputs a stem separated .Wav file (Drums, Bass, Other) script analyzes the data and outputs a text file of Synthesizer data which can be used to recreate the same sound audio manually
Task 2: Fine tune virtual instruments and synthesizers for audio production use. Also produce explanation document explaining how the virtual instruments synthesizers now work.
Optional Task: (Not Required but recommended) Configure Obscure virtual instruments for intended use Synful Orchestra and Wheel of Fortune and provide an explanation document explaining how they now work.
Note: Combining virtual instruments with synthesizers in a DAW is acceptable to achieve a solution
