Integrated Bicycle Speaker System Prototype

Job ID: 40307822

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I have a patent-pending concept for an all-in-one bicycle sound system and I’m ready to move from idea to working prototype. The vision is simple: riders enjoy music through speakers that are seamlessly housed inside the frame while a single onboard battery powers both the speakers and a phone-charging port. Best person must reside in St Louis Missouri for face-to-face interaction.

Core requirements
• Audio must stream via Bluetooth connectivity; I’m not looking to add AM/FM or USB inputs at this stage.
• Physical button controls should be integrated into the bike so riders can adjust volume, skip tracks, and check battery status without a phone.
• The battery pack needs enough capacity to drive the speakers at cruising volume and top up a typical smartphone on longer rides.

I will provide sketches of the frame sections where the electronics can live. What I need from you is complete product development support—industrial design, enclosure and mount engineering, electronics layout, waterproofing strategy, and a clear plan for wiring through the frame. If you can also source components or manage a small-run prototype build, let’s include that in the proposal.

Acceptance criteria
1. CAD files showing the speaker chambers, control buttons, battery compartment, and cable routing.
2. Electrical schematics and PCB files ready for manufacture.
3. A bill of materials with suppliers and cost estimates.
4. A functional prototype (or detailed assembly guide if you can’t build in-house) that survives a splash-test and plays music wirelessly while charging a phone.

If this challenge excites you and you have experience merging audio hardware with rugged consumer products, I look forward to seeing how you can help bring this ride-enhancing idea to life.
