Budget: $250 – $750 USD
This is onsite and local to Austin, TX. I have a small-scale project that involves joining several wires to matching connectors, all done with rosin core solder. The work sits at an intermediate level—think multiple terminations in a tight space where neatness and repeatable quality matter more than extreme fine-pitch skills. Must have solid audio engineering and solder skills. No beginners.
Here’s what I need:
• Arrive with a temperature-controlled iron, flux, and hand tools appropriate for stranded wire and audio jack terminals.
• Tin, join, and insulate each connection so the joints are shiny, mechanically solid, and pass a simple multimeter continuity test.
• Keep heat-spread minimal to protect nearby plastics; no cold joints, bridges, or excess solder blobs.
I’ll supply the wires, connectors, and rosin core solder; you supply the steady hands, soldering iron, and workmanship. When you’re done, all cables should be labelled with no cleanup required on my end.
