Existing Video YouTube Shorts Review
Budget: ₹600 – ₹700 INR
Job Title: Video Quality Assurance (QA) & Creative Reviewer (YouTube Shorts/Reels)
Project Type: Freelance / Contract Format: Vertical Video (9:16) Target Audience: Ages 18–45
We are looking for a detail-oriented Video QA Specialist to review and audit short-form video content (YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels) created by our professional video editors. Your job is to be the "final gatekeeper" before publishing—ensuring every video is technically flawless, visually engaging, and optimized for maximum retention.
You will not be editing the videos yourself, but you will be providing precise, actionable feedback (time-stamped notes) to the editing team to ensure high standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Quality Control (The "Safe Zone" Check)
Platform Safety: Rigorously check that all text overlays, captions, and key visuals remain within the "Safe Zones" for YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels (ensuring no text is covered by Like/Share buttons, captions, or channel names).
Text & Typography: Verify font consistency, alignment (centering), readability, and duration (text must stay on screen long enough to be read).
Audio Levels: Audit audio mixing to ensure background music does not overpower voiceovers; verify that Sound Effects (SFX) are present and perfectly synced to visual transitions.
2. Creative & Storytelling Audit
Visual Logic: Ensure stock footage matches the script context (e.g., if the script mentions "Indian EV Scooters," the visual should not be a "Ducati").
Pacing & Flow: Review the editing rhythm. Identify areas that are too slow (boring) or too fast (confusing).
The "Hook" Check: Ensure the first 3 seconds are visually gripping to maximize audience retention.
3. Actionable Feedback
Provide clear, constructive, and time-stamped feedback to editors (e.g., "At 0:04, the text is cut off on the right edge. Please center-align." or "At 0:15, add a 'Whoosh' SFX during the transition").
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience as a Video Editor, Content Manager, or QA Specialist for short-form content.
Platform Knowledge: Deep understanding of YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels interface constraints (Safe Zones, aspect ratios).
Technical Eye: Ability to spot single-frame glitches, typos, jump cuts, or sync issues that others miss.
Software: Familiarity with Premiere Pro, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve (to understand what is technically possible when giving feedback).
Bonus Points (Preferred)
1) Experience with data-driven content (charts, comparisons, stats).
2) Understanding of the Indian audience context (culturally relevant visuals/memes).
3) Knowledge of Sound Design psychology (knowing when to add a bass drop vs. a ding).
