DaggerFront Sound Effect Designer

Job ID: 39745368

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

Freelance Sound Effects Designer (Revenue Share – 12%)

We’re building DaggerFront, a next-generation military simulation game featuring massive battles, realistic systems, and immersive environments. We’re looking for a talented SFX Designer to join the team on a contract basis.

What you’ll do:

Create immersive and realistic sound effects for weapons (gunshots, reloads, jamming), explosions, vehicles, radios, and environmental destruction.

Design ambient layers (battlefield atmosphere, wildlife, weather, background soundscapes) to enhance immersion.

Develop unique audio identities for each faction, from U.S. Army to PLA, and across different eras (modern, WWII, Vietnam, etc.).

Work closely with the dev team to implement sounds directly into Godot 4.

Compensation:

This is a revenue share contract – you’ll receive 12% of game revenue after release.

There is no upfront payment, making this best suited for someone passionate about the project and interested in long-term returns.

Ideal fit:

Experience designing realistic sound effects for shooters or immersive sims.

Ability to produce high-quality assets with a wide range (from subtle ambient layers to massive cinematic explosions).

Passion for military realism and large-scale battles.

You won’t just be “adding gun sounds” – you’ll be shaping the acoustic battlefield that defines player immersion.
