Broadway-Style Love Song Orchestration
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need an experienced orchestrator to shape a newly written love song into a performance-ready score that moves from a quiet, wistful opening to a bright, joyful finale. The piece feels straight out of a classic Broadway show and was composed by a 93-year-old pianist who will both perform and possibly record it, so the piano must remain the emotional and musical centerpiece throughout.
Musical palette
• Piano: always foregrounded, never buried.
Strings and woodwinds.
• Harp: supportive textures and gentle glissandi.
• Occasional brass accents for lift and sparkle—subtle, not overpowering.
What I’m after
1. Tasteful voicings that underline the song’s initial lament and its later exuberance.
2. Clear dynamics and phrasing markings to guide a live orchestra.
3. Playable parts for community-to-professional-level musicians.
Deliverables
• Conductor’s score (PDF & MXL).
• Individual parts for every instrument (PDF & MXL).
• Stereo demo mock-up (WAV) with realistic instrument samples.
A woman’s touch is most welcome—my client believes a female arranger might bring extra empathy—but I will gladly consider any orchestrator who understands the storytelling nuance of musical theatre. If you can capture that classic Broadway warmth while keeping the piano in the spotlight, I’d love to hear your approach and a brief portfolio sample.
