Atlanta Feature Film Sound Tech
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m producing a SAG-ULB feature film that shoots in Atlanta for roughly 10–12 days between mid-March and early April, and I need an experienced location sound technician who can walk on set with a complete kit and keep our dialogue crisp from the first take to the last.
Because dialogue is the lifeblood of this story, I’m looking for someone who owns and operates:
• professional microphones with booms,
• a reliable multichannel mixer/recorder, and
• a solid wireless system for talent and plant mics.
We’ll be working with a small, fast-moving team, so you should be comfortable mixing on the fly, flagging issues before they become problems, and handing off clean files at the end of each day. If you’ve already supported narrative features under similar budgets and schedules, that experience will serve us both well.
Deliverables I’ll need at wrap:
• Poly WAV files (iso tracks + mix) on a labeled drive/card
• Daily sound reports noting takes, issues, and wild lines
• A brief kit list for insurance purposes before principal photography begins
If you’re local to Atlanta (or can get here easily), have verifiable credits on feature films, and can commit to all shoot dates, let’s talk. Please include a link to your reel or recent work, confirmation of gear availability, and your day rate plus any kit fee in your reply.
