Tragic Villain Voice & Edit
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m producing an animation that hinges on a single, complex antagonist—a villain whose menace is rooted in tragedy rather than pure malice. I need one versatile collaborator who can both bring that layered voice performance to life and polish the raw takes into broadcast-ready files.
Here’s what I’m after: a voice that can slip from steely composure to moments of vulnerability without ever losing the character’s dark edge, recorded on a clean chain (minimal room noise, consistent levels). Once captured, those takes must be edited, mixed, and mastered—tight timing, subtle EQ, tasteful reverb—so they drop straight onto my animation timeline with no extra cleanup.
Deliverables
• 3–5 alternate reads of each scripted line (WAV, 48 kHz/24-bit)
• A fully edited, mastered composite track matching my scene timing
• A brief production report listing any processing moves (EQ, compression, noise reduction, etc.)
Acceptance criteria
• Voice embodies a tragic villain: controlled menace underscored by remorse
• Zero clicks, pops, or background hum; peaks under –1 dBFS
• Final track syncs perfectly with the supplied animatic
If you thrive on nuanced characters and have the post-audio chops to make every syllable land, I’d love to hear a short sample in that style.
