Tamil Audio Transcription and Data entry

I have a set of Tamil-language audio files taken from informal group-chat conversations that must be transcribed word-for-word. The work is purely transcription—no translation—and accuracy is crucial because the recordings switch frequently between speakers and use everyday, sometimes highly colloquial Tamil.

You will listen to each clip, identify the speaker when possible, and type the exact Tamil wording into a document or spreadsheet. Any unclear section should be marked “--inaudible--” along with a timestamp so I can review it later. Familiarity with tools such as Express Scribe, oTranscribe, or similar is welcome if it helps you keep the timing precise.

Deliverables
• A clean, speaker-labelled Tamil transcript for every audio file (DOCX or XLSX)
• Timestamps at the start of each speaker turn or every 30 seconds, whichever is simpler
• Clear tags for any inaudible or overlapping speech

All raw audio will be shared via a private download link, and I’m happy to release partial milestones as batches are finished and verified. If you’re comfortable with rapid, conversational Tamil and can commit to meticulous text entry, this job should be straightforward and rewarding.
