Speech Recording Volume Leveling Required

I have a speech recording that drifts in loudness from section to section, and I need it smoothed out so the listener never has to reach for the volume knob. The only task here is volume level adjustment—no EQ, noise reduction, or other processing unless it directly supports achieving an even, consistent loudness.

You will receive a single audio file (WAV, 44.1 kHz) and return it with the dialogue balanced from start to finish. A gentle limiter or automated gain riding is fine as long as the end result sounds natural, with no pumping or clipping. LUFS around –16 for mono or –14 for stereo is ideal, but I’m open to your proven workflow in Audacity, Adobe Audition, iZotope RX, or a DAW of your choice.

Deliverable:
• One mastered file in the same format as supplied, identical length, with consistent perceived volume throughout.
