Semi-Verbatim Interview Transcription Needed
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a series of English-language interviews that need to be transcribed accurately but without the usual filler words. Every hesitation, false start, or repeated word can be left out; everything else—including tone markers like laughter or long pauses—should stay so the final text reads smoothly while still reflecting the speaker’s intent.
Recordings are clear, conversational, and typically feature one interviewer and one guest. I will share downloadable audio links as soon as we agree on the scope. For each file I need:
• A neatly formatted, time-stamped Word or Google Docs file
• Speaker labels that remain consistent throughout
• Delivery within the mutually agreed deadline
Feel free to use the transcription tool of your choice (oTranscribe, Express Scribe, Descript, etc.) as long as the finished work meets the semi-verbatim standard. Accuracy is more important than speed, but a quick turnaround is appreciated because this is an ongoing, part-time requirement. Let me know your rate per audio minute and a realistic daily capacity when you bid.
