SPD-SX 80s Sample Kits
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m getting ready for two live shows built around 80s Pop and Rock songs. I already have a full drummer and a percussionist — I just need someone to create simple one-shot WAV samples for the electronic sounds in each song.
There are 16 songs total. You’ll use my Samples From Mars library (I’ll provide the link) and make 6–9 short WAVs per song that match the classic 80s vibe — things like claps, toms, snaps, or small sound effects.
Each song should have its own folder with:
• 6–9 one-shot WAVs (44.1 kHz / 16-bit, normalized)
• Easy-to-read filenames (for example, “Snare_808.wav” or “FX_Sweep.wav”)
• A short text file explaining what’s in the folder
You don’t need to do any looping or mixing — just clean, organized WAVs that load straight onto my Roland SPD-SX.
Please send me what you finish each day so I can test as we go. The full project should be done in about 3–4 days.
