Podcast Editing and Clip Creation

Job ID: 40496341

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

We are launching Unseen Exposures, a video podcast about the unseen cost of the fire service: cancer, sleep, trauma, mental health, nutrition, recovery, family impact, and the things firefighters carry home after the call.

We are looking for a recurring podcast/video editor, not just a one-time clip cutter.

The tone needs to be clean, credible, emotional, and human. This is not a hype podcast, comedy show, or influencer-style project. It should feel more like a grounded documentary conversation.

We need help with:

Editing long-form video podcast episodes
Cleaning and leveling audio
Cutting between speakers naturally
Creating a strong cold open
Adding simple lower thirds
Adding basic intro/outro if needed
Creating 3 to 5 vertical clips per episode
Adding captions to short clips
Exporting for YouTube, audio podcast platforms, and social media

We record remotely using Riverside or a similar platform. Episodes will usually include two hosts and one guest.

The right editor understands pacing, restraint, and emotional tone. We do not want flashy edits, meme-style captions, overdone effects, or fake drama.

For the first project, we will provide a short section of raw footage as a paid test edit. If it is a good fit, this can become ongoing work.

Please include:

Two video podcast samples you personally edited
One sample that shows emotional or documentary-style storytelling
Your rate per full episode
Your rate for 3 to 5 short vertical clips
Your typical turnaround time
What software you use
How many revisions are included
