Podcast Audio Dropout Repair
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m looking for an audio editor who can rescue a podcast track where one microphone cuts in and out frequently. The guest’s channel drops to silence at random moments, then comes back, creating a choppy listening experience.
Your task is to smooth those dropouts so the conversation sounds continuous and natural. I’m open to creative solutions—seamless cross-fades, ambience rebuilding, dialogue isolation, or any proven restoration technique that can mask or reconstruct the missing parts without introducing artifacts.
While you’re in the session, please also give the entire episode a quick polish:
• Noise reduction to remove background hiss or hum
• Equalization for clear, balanced voices
• Volume leveling so both speakers sit at a consistent loudness
I will provide the multitrack WAV files and a reference mix. Send back a cleaned, ready-to-publish stereo master plus the updated project/session file (Pro Tools, Audition, Reaper, or similar—whatever you use). A short before/after sample will help confirm we’re on the right track before you process the full episode.
If you’ve handled microphone dropout repairs before, especially on dialogue-heavy content, I’d love to hear a snippet of your previous work.
