Non-Fiction Audiobook Production
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have a completed non-fiction manuscript that I want transformed into a polished audiobook aimed squarely at students. Clear diction, friendly but authoritative tone, and consistent pacing are crucial so the material stays engaging during study sessions.
Scope
• Record a full narration of the manuscript (about 95,000 words; please confirm final runtime after a brief sample).
• Edit out breaths, clicks, and background noise, then master the tracks to Audible/ACX standards—192 kbps MP3, ‑23 LUFS average, peak below ‑3 dB.
• Insert short, tasteful pauses or chapter tones where appropriate so listeners can follow the structure easily.
• Provide a clean chapter list with timestamps and a single ZIP containing labeled files ready for direct upload.
I would like the finished, approved audio delivered within a month. If you use tools such as Adobe Audition, Reaper, Audacity, or iZotope RX, mention them; experience meeting ACX compliance is a major plus. A brief recorded sample of the opening page will help me gauge voice fit before we proceed.
Let me know your estimated turnaround schedule, preferred recording chain, and any questions you have about the text or pronunciation.
