Multilingual Audio Transcription Assistance

Job ID: 40381651

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I have a collection of short recordings in several European languages and I need each one converted into clean, well-formatted text. Most clips are conversational pieces—think casual interviews, video dialogues and the odd podcast segment—so clear speaker separation and natural punctuation are important.

Expect no more than a few hours of material in total; I will send the files in manageable batches along with the language tags (Spanish, French, German or a mix) so you never feel overwhelmed. While this is an entry-level assignment, I still value accuracy: if you are unsure of a word or phrase, simply flag the timestamp and move on—perfection on the first pass is less important than a consistent, readable transcript I can refine later.

Deliverables for each file
• A Word or Google Docs transcript, UTF-8 encoded, named to match the source file
• Basic time stamps every 30–60 seconds (or at speaker changes if you prefer)
• A short note of any unclear portions marked “inaudible” or “uncertain” with the exact time

Turnaround for the first batch is flexible, but once we agree on a pace I’d like to keep it steady. If you already use tools such as Express Scribe, oTranscribe or any ASR software to speed things up, that’s fine—just proof-read before submitting so the final text reads naturally.

Send a quick note outlining your language strengths and the software you’re comfortable with, and I’ll reply with the first audio link so you can get started right away.
