Lebanese Civil War Family Impact Documentary

Project Overview:
V.B. is a documentary that will be shot in late january in Lebanon, it will explore intergenerational memory of war through foyr paired interviews. Each chapter of the film focuses on a parent and their child, reflecting on memory, imagination, and inherited trauma related to conflict.
Each participant is interviewed individually, but the interviews are conceptually linked as parent–child pairs. All interviews follow the same structure, visual language, and editing logic, combining direct-to-camera testimony with footage of the participants painting the memories shared (The painting process will be shot separately).
The film is built from four interviews in total. I will edit one interview myself to establish the final structure and rhythm, which will serve as a reference edit for the rest of the film.
Scope of Work:
I am looking for an editor to assemble three interviews, based strictly on the reference edit I will provide.
Each interview:
Represents one participant (parent or child)
Target length: 8–12 minutes (per interview)
Multi-camera interview setup
Alternation between interview footage and painting footage
Same structure and pacing across all interviews
Tasks Included
Organizing provided footage
Picture editing of interviews based on the reference structure
Clean, coherent dialogue-driven assembly
One feedback / revision round per interview
Tasks NOT Included:
Sound cleaning or audio post
Music or sound design
Color grading
Narrative restructuring
Editing of intro or conclusion

Start: Mid-February
Duration: Approx. 3 weeks
Expected pace: 1 interview per week
Delivery of all three interviews by early March
Budget:
Fixed fee 700 CHF (~880 $) total
Payment terms flexible (ideally split)
