English Audio-to-Subtitle Transcription -- 2
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have several English-language recordings that need to be turned into clean, accurate subtitle files. The task is straightforward: listen to the audio, transcribe every spoken word verbatim, and format the text so it can be dropped straight into a subtitle editor (SRT or VTT is fine).
Because these files will serve as on-screen captions, timing matters as much as the words themselves. I need each subtitle line to sync naturally with the speaker’s pace and to follow common readability rules—roughly two lines per frame, no awkward breaks, and clear identification when multiple voices overlap.
Deliverables
• Completed transcript in SRT or VTT with precise timestamps
• A plain-text version of the dialogue (for reference or future repurposing)
If you’re comfortable working with English dialogue and can spot the moments where a pause, music cue, or laugh should be captioned, you’ll find this project pretty smooth. Accuracy, consistency, and on-time delivery are my top priorities, so let me know your turnaround and any tools you prefer (I’m used to Aegisub and Subtitle Edit, but I’m flexible).
