Dutch Speech Data Collection

1. Project Overview
Thank you for participating in the Dutch Speech Data Collection Project.
All recordings must strictly follow the standards below. Any deviation may result in rejection or reduced payment.
2. Recording App
- All recordings must be completed using the our designated app.
- Ensure the app is updated to the latest version.
- Log in with the correct assigned ID.
- Record only your assigned sentences.
- Do not share your account or tasks.
3. Participant Requirements
3.1 Language Requirements
- Must be a native Dutch speaker.
- Must be born and raised in the Netherlands (or specified Dutch-speaking region).
- Must use standard Dutch pronunciation.
- Strong regional accents are not allowed.
- Do not mix other languages.
3.2 Voice Requirements
- Voice must be clear, natural, fluent.
- No hoarseness or illness.
- No whispering or robotic tone.
4. Recording Environment Requirements
4.1 Location
- Record indoors only.
- Room must be quiet.
4.2 Noise Restrictions
Not allowed:
- Background conversations
- TV or music
- Traffic noise
- Fan or AC noise
- Keyboard or mouse clicks
- Echo or reverb
- Construction noise
- Breathing or mic pop sounds
If noise occurs, re-record the sentence.
5. Equipment Requirements
- Use a relatively new smartphone.
- Do not use old devices with weak microphones.
- Do not use Bluetooth or external microphones unless approved.
- Maintain approximately 20 cm distance from mouth to microphone.
- Do not cover the microphone.
6. Before Recording
- Read sentences silently once.
- Understand the meaning.
- Prepare for natural reading.
- Ensure quiet environment.
- Check microphone functionality.
7. During Recording
- Read naturally and fluently.
- Do not rush.
- No long pauses.
- No repeating words.
- No mid-sentence corrections.
- Re-record if mistake occurs.
- No missing or extra words.
8. Common Mistakes (Avoid)
- Reading tag names aloud.
- Skipping content inside tags.
- Adding extra words.
- Mispronouncing names or numbers.
- Recording in noisy environment.
- Speaking too fast.
- Strong regional accent.
- Echo in background.
- Inconsistent volume.
9. Quality Inspection & Review
- All recordings go through self-check and external review.
- Pass rate will be calculated.

- Payment will be after checker qualified your submitted work.
