Dramatic Documentary Sound Design

I’m in the final stretch of a documentary and want the soundtrack to pull viewers to the edge of their seats. The raw dialogue tracks, location ambience, and a handful of temp effects are ready; what I need now is a skilled sound designer who can shape them into a cohesive, cinematic mix with a distinctly dramatic tone.

Your role is to design and layer original effects, build tension-driven atmospheres, clean and balance dialogue, and deliver a polished mix that translates well across cinema, broadcast, and streaming platforms. Pro Tools, iZotope RX, and similar industry-standard tools will fit smoothly into my workflow, but if you have another setup that achieves pristine results, I’m open.

Deliverables I’ll need:
• Complete stereo (and, if feasible, 5.1) master mix
• Dialogue, effects, music stems
• Session file with all plugins rendered or referenced

I’ll provide reference scenes, time-coded notes, and a clear spotting sheet so you can get started right away. If you have a reel that shows gripping, emotionally charged documentary work, that will help me lock this in quickly.
