DVD Transfer & Advanced Audio Cleanup
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a 30–60-minute home video that I need moved onto a standard DVD-R. While the picture is fine, the audio track needs serious help: voices are too low, and wind plus other background noises make parts of the dialogue hard to follow. I’m looking for a thorough, professional-grade cleanup that boosts speech clarity, reduces wind rumble, and removes any distracting external sounds without introducing artifacts.
Here’s how I picture the workflow:
• You receive the source file (or tape if you can digitise it).
• You perform an advanced audio restoration pass—EQ, noise reduction, compression, whatever tools you consider best (iZotope RX, Audition, etc.).
• You author the corrected video to a DVD-R with a simple menu or direct play, then ship or send an ISO for me to burn locally.
I’ll test the disc/ISO on a regular set-top player; dialogue must be consistently audible and the background noise should not draw attention. Once I sign off on the audio, the job is done.
