Cinematic Vacation Film Editing
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m sitting on roughly 335 GB of raw GoPro and drone footage from a 2017 family trip to San Francisco and it’s finally time to turn it into something we’ll actually re-watch. I’d love a polished, cinematic film—no longer than an hour—that seamlessly weaves together the best shots of famous landmarks, our outdoor adventures, and those spontaneous family interactions that make the trip feel alive. Landmarks include all of San Francisco, Monterey, Yellowstone, Sausalito Bay, Cruises and walks.
All clips are already organized by day, but there’s no pre-selection: you’ll need to sift through the material, spot the gems, trim the fluff, and craft a flowing story arc. Smooth color grading, engaging pacing, tasteful transitions, and clean audio are important to me. Please select a fitting soundtrack on my behalf and mix it so dialogue and ambient sound still shine through where appropriate.
Deliverables
• Finished 4K (or original max resolution) master file, runtime ≤ 60 minutes
• A separate render optimized for easy streaming or sharing with relatives
• A short teaser or trailer (60–90 seconds) drawn from the same edit so I can share highlights quickly
Acceptance criteria: the final film should feel like a cohesive cinematic experience, hold attention start to finish, and spotlight the landmarks, adventures, and family moments we captured. If this first project goes well, I have more vacation footage waiting in the wings.
