Cinematic True-Crime Podcast Editor

Job ID: 40398252

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I produce Case Files After Crime, a narrative true-crime podcast told in three acts. I need an editor who can transform raw voice tracks into a dark, suspense-filled cinematic experience rather than a simple “cut and clean” talk show.

The finished mix must carry the weight of a thriller: long silences that tighten tension, carefully placed stingers, and smooth crescendos that drive each plot point forward. To hit that mark the episode has to lean on three elements:

• Sound effects that feel authentic and unsettling
• Background music that blends ambient textures with hip-hop-style cinematic beats
• Narrative voice enhancement that keeps every word intimate and intense

You’ll have my narration, interviews, and script notes. I’m counting on you to weave them together, score each act, and master the final WAV/MP3 so it’s ready for publishing. If you know your way around Atmos-style layering, Foley creation, and dynamic range management for podcast loudness standards, we’ll be a perfect fit.

Send over links to dark, suspense-driven podcast or film work you’ve edited, tell me which DAW and plug-ins you prefer, and let’s start building atmosphere.
