Birthday Family Highlight Reel
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I’m having several old family tapes professionally digitised and, once they land in my Dropbox, I want to turn the raw material into a single, polished highlight reel as a birthday surprise. The idea is to pick out the most heart-warming moments, arrange them in a flowing story rather than strict chronology, and underscore the whole piece with a soft, sentimental music track that complements the nostalgia.
Rough scope
• I expect less than an hour of footage (exact runtime still unknown).
• Final video should feel concise and engaging—roughly 8–15 minutes, though I’m open to your editorial judgment after you’ve seen the material.
• Please source or suggest royalty-free music in the “soft and sentimental” vein and mix it beneath the dialog so voices remain clear.
• Light colour correction, audio clean-up, and tasteful fades or dissolves are welcome if they help the flow, but elaborate motion graphics aren’t required unless you think a subtle title card or two would elevate the piece.
Deliverables
• One master file in 1080p (H.264) ready for playback on a TV or laptop.
• A project file (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve—whatever you work in) so I can make minor tweaks later if needed.
• Up to two rounds of revisions after I review the first cut.
