Audio-Podcast Editor
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Thrycon represented by Simone is looking for an expert to support production of Season 1 of an audio podcast for publication between November and December 2021.
Timeline for Publication of Podcast Episodes:
Introduction: Nov. 2: Intro
Episode 1: Nov. 2: Intro Episode, Beginning of Season 1
Episode 2: Nov. 2: Coca Cola Scholars Foundation
Episode 3: Nov. 9: Sodexo
Episode 4: Nov. 16: CITI Group
Episode 5: Nov. 23: Salesforce
Episode 6: Nov. 30: Tech Soup
Episode 7: Dec. 7: Vorwerk
Episode 8: Dec. 14: GIA
Episode 9: Dec. 28: Summary Episode, End of Season 1
There may be one additional episode on December 21, which will be added and paid for separately.
Please note:
• Files will be submitted to the editor in bulk, so work can begin starting on October 12, 2021. Ideally, all work on the episodes will be completed by early- to mid-November.
• Each contribution / episode should be finalized at least 7 days before each episode is due to be published.
Process:
1. Recorded files will be uploaded to Descript.
2. Intro / Outro / Other files will be uploaded to Dropbox or shared via Google Drive.
3. Simone will remove audio parts not needed in Descripts and make notes of parts that need extra attention of editor.
4. If needed: Simone will record extra questions that need to be added in if a question was too long and should be broken up into two questions.
5. Editor will remove Uhms / Ahs / cross-talk and adjust breaks between questions & answers (longer/shorter as appropriate).
6. Editor will export files for additional Audio Editing and work in external software on:
• Adding Opener & Intro & Outro & additional questions if needed
• Mixing
• Noise Reduction
• Music Placement
• Effects
• Embed ID3 tags
• Other as needed for clear sound quality
7. Simone will review the entire episode and make remarks where additional edits may be needed
8. Editor will adjust as needed
9. Editor will prepare files for export & export in AAC and MP3 (Spotify) and other as needed and save in Dropbox for Simone’s download.
10. Simone will draft show notes and send to editor.
11. Editor will upload all files and show notes on podcast platforms and schedule publication according to publication schedule.
12. On the day of each publication, editor will check if all worked ok from technical and publication side and send ‘all clear’ to Simone
Budget:
USD 35.— will be the fee for production of EACH episode. Payment will be rendered after each episode airs.
USD 20.— for personalized sound files with full rights given to Thrycon.
