Audio Drama Production for Mysteries
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have two full-length mystery/thriller novels that I want turned into engaging audio dramas. Each book is already fully written; what I need now is the audio magic.
Here is the creative direction:
• Genre: Mystery/Thriller, so pacing and tone should stay tense and suspenseful.
• Music: Suspenseful and tense beds that heighten key moments without overpowering dialogue.
• Voices: Multiple narrators—one primary storyteller plus additional voices when a different character speaks. A simple two-to-three-voice solution per book is fine.
• Atmosphere: Layer in essential sound effects (doors creaking, footsteps, storm ambience, etc.) to give scenes a cinematic feel.
• File setup: Clean, multi-track sessions delivered as final mastered MP3 or WAV chapters, along with the raw stem tracks so I can request small edits later.
I’m aiming for a lean, listener-ready version rather than an elaborate full-cast production, so please keep the workflow efficient and focused on clarity, pacing, and polished mixing. If you have prior samples of suspense fiction, especially with multiple voices and tasteful SFX, include a link so I can hear your style.
I will provide the manuscripts, and any pronunciation notes as soon as we start. Let me know your estimated turnaround time for the two books and what you’ll need from me to keep the process smooth. Also, please keep in mind that a non-disclosure agreement will be presented by myself and must be signed by both parties before any type of work will be started. I'm looking to hopefully get started within 2 weeks or less if/when I can find someone to work with.
