We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative AI-First Soft Switch Engineer with a background in cloud telephony to join our team. This role is integral to developing a next-generation soft switch leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance telecommunication processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud telephony and a deep understanding of AI technologies.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain AI-first soft switch solutions for cloud telephony systems.
Implement and optimize AI algorithms to enhance call routing, voice quality, and system efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI functionalities into existing telephony infrastructure.
Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the soft switch solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud telephony and AI integration.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and telephony technologies to drive continuous improvement.
Must-Have Technical Expertise:
Cloud Telephony Platforms: Proficiency in cloud telephony services such as Twilio, Plivo, or Nexmo, including API integration and service management.
VoIP Technologies: Understanding the fundamental principles of VoIP, including how voice data is transmitted over IP networks. Familiarity with VoIP software like Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, and Cisco Call Manager is crucial.
SIP Protocol: Proficiency in the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), which is essential for setting up and managing VoIP communications. Skills in configuring SIP trunks, managing SIP sessions, and using SIP tools such as Wireshark for troubleshooting are important.
PBX Systems: Knowledge of Private Branch Exchange (PBX) systems, including both traditional hardware-based PBX and modern IP-PBX systems. Experience with popular PBX platforms like Asterisk, 3CX, and Avaya is valuable.
Network Protocols: Understanding networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and RTP, which are integral to the operation of VoIP services. Skills in configuring Quality of Service (QoS) to prioritize VoIP traffic and ensure call quality are also essential.
Security: Implementing security measures to protect VoIP systems from threats like eavesdropping and denial-of-service attacks. This includes configuring firewalls, using secure SIP (SIPS), and enabling encryption for voice data.
AI and Machine Learning: Strong knowledge of AI/ML algorithms, frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), and practical experience in applying AI to telecommunications.
Soft Switch Development: Experience in developing and managing soft switch solutions, including knowledge of protocols such as SIP, RTP, and VoIP technologies.
Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ for developing AI and telephony solutions.
Cloud Infrastructure: Expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, and experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying scalable solutions.
Data Analysis and Processing: Strong skills in data analysis, signal processing, and understanding of voice codecs and compression techniques.
Security and Compliance: Knowledge of security best practices and regulatory compliance in telecommunication systems.
Software Development: Basic programming skills for developing and maintaining VoIP applications. Familiarity with languages like Python, Java, and C++ can be useful for scripting and automation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with NLP (Natural Language Processing) for voice recognition and synthesis.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
Proven track record of implementing AI solutions in real-time communication systems.

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
