Asterisk/Vicidial + ARI Expert for Real-Time Audio Bridge to Python App
Project Overview:
We’re building a system that requires real-time audio routing between Vicidial (Asterisk) and a separate Python app for audio processing. Your task is to set up the audio bridge — no audio processing involved on your side.
Scope of Work:
Intercept audio from both agent (SIP) and customer (dialed via Vicidial).
Use Asterisk ARI (Stasis) to route each side’s audio to an external Python app.
Playback processed audio received from the Python app to the opposite channel.
Set up a mixing bridge or separate bridges to manage two-way audio.
Integrate with Vicidial's call flow seamlessly.
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with Asterisk ARI / Stasis()
Knowledge of Vicidial architecture and dialplan logic
Experience with RTP stream routing / external_media
Live call audio forking and playback injection
Ability to coordinate with a Python team for clean integration
Bonus if you have:
Experience building audio bridges in real-time call environments
Familiarity with aiortc, media servers, or low-latency audio transport
Notes:
We only need the audio routing logic — all audio processing happens on our side.
