Find password in simulated malware sample (System Security)

Job ID: 34012204

Budget: $30 – $250 CAD

Please read and overview the files and technicalities before bidding for the project.

The project is related to System Security. The simulated malware file (reverse-ex) is provided which has coding in assembly language. The file can be opened using IDA freeware software, the link to download the software is:
https://hex-rays.com/ida-free/
Reverse engineering has to be done to find the password. It is a small project and should not take very long for those who have knowledge of System Security. Finally, the report has to be created (even if you can just find the password and do not want to write report, we can negotiate about that), the brief requirements for this project are as follows:

You will attempt to find the password in a simulated malware sample. The
file is provided and is named reverse-ex. It is an executable file that is designed to simulate
some of the basic techniques found in actual malware.
The file is safe to download and will not cause harm to your computer.
You will need to write a report of not less than 5 pages including screen captures,
diagrams, tables, and charts. However, the report must contain mostly your written analysis
and reports containing only screen captures and diagrams will not be considered acceptable.
As a minimum your report will need to cover the follow points:
How you plan to discover the password of the simulated malware sample.
Methods used.
Challenges.
