Intermediate HYSYS Boiler Evaluation Models
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have full P&ID packages and recent operating data for two boiler systems located at separate compressor stations. I need you to translate that information into two steady-state Aspen HYSYS models built to an intermediate level of detail: all equipment blocks, key control elements, major stream properties, heat duties, and realistic utility conditions.
The sole purpose of these models is to pinpoint where each boiler train is losing efficiency—flue-gas heat losses, improper steam conditions, oversizing of equipment, or any other energy drains that become apparent once the simulation is balanced. I’m not looking for an exhaustive, plant-wide digital twin; just models that are detailed enough for a credible performance gap study while remaining easy for me to tweak later.
You will receive:
• PDFs of the P&IDs for both sites
• Current operating pressures, temperatures, fuel composition, and flow rates
• A brief note on any known instrumentation quirks
Deliverables:
• Two native Aspen HYSYS files (.hsc) that open cleanly in v11 or newer
• A concise memo for each site (2–3 pages) summarizing model assumptions, calculated efficiencies, and the top inefficiency hotspots identified
Acceptance criteria:
• Mass and energy balances must close within 1 % for every unit operation
• All tags and stream names mirror those on the P&IDs for easy cross-reference
• Inefficiency hotspots flagged with numbers I can trace directly in the model
