Part-Time C# / ASP.NET MVC Developer Needed to Maintain Legacy VIP Platform
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
We are looking for a part-time developer (up to 20 hours per week) to help maintain and enhance our existing VIP Legacy application. This is an established production system built on the Microsoft .NET Framework stack, and we need someone comfortable working in a mature codebase rather than building from scratch.
The application is built with C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, and SQL Server, with a traditional layered architecture that includes domain models, repositories, and service logic. The system manages business entities such as permits, inspections, jurisdictions, contractors, inspectors, and reporting workflows.
What we need help with:
Maintaining and improving an existing ASP.NET MVC application
Debugging and fixing issues in legacy C# code
Working with Entity Framework models, repositories, and SQL-backed business logic
Enhancing reporting, queueing, and administrative workflows
Making safe, well-tested updates in an established production environment
Collaborating on ongoing support and incremental improvements
Required Skills:
Strong C# experience
Solid ASP.NET MVC background
Strong experience with Entity Framework
Good SQL Server / T-SQL skills
Experience supporting and extending legacy enterprise web applications
Ability to read existing code carefully and make reliable changes
Nice to Have:
Experience with .NET Framework 4.x applications
Familiarity with repository/service-layer patterns
Experience with reporting modules, admin dashboards, or workflow systems
Front-end experience with Razor views, JavaScript, Bootstrap, or similar legacy UI stacks
Engagement Details:
Part-time: Up to 20 hours per week
Rate: $30/hour
Ongoing work for the right developer
Preference for someone responsive, practical, and comfortable working in an existing codebase
