Migrate .NET App to Windows

I need help relocating an existing .NET Framework application from our current Windows Server to a new Windows Server environment. I already have full administrative rights on both machines, so you can count on unrestricted RDP and IIS access for the work.

Here’s what I’m looking for:
• Install or verify the correct .NET Framework version on the new server.
• Replicate the existing IIS site setup—bindings, app pool settings, HTTPS certificates, and any URL rewrite rules.
• Copy all application files and related dependencies to the new machine, keeping folder structure intact.
• Update local configuration files or environment variables if any server-specific paths were hard-coded.
• Perform smoke tests to confirm the site compiles, loads, and serves pages without errors. No database or data migration is required.
• Provide a concise hand-off document outlining the steps you took and how to roll back if ever needed.

The application is a standard web app (ASP.NET Web Forms/ MVC) running under .NET Framework, not .NET Core. Remote work is fine; we can coordinate via screen-share during cut-over to minimize downtime.

If you have solid Windows Server and IIS migration experience, I’d love to get this wrapped up quickly and cleanly.
