Help with troubleshoot React App that uses Azure B2C

I am building a hello world type of web application using react that uses Azure B2C for authentication and communicate with a dotnet Web API.
I have B2C configured and I can successfully sign in, edit profile and sign out but I am getting all sorts of errors when I try to access the web API. For example: interaction_required: AADB2C90077: User does not have an existing session and request prompt parameter has a value of 'None'.
I you have experience with React and Azure B2C and have a couple of hours to spare I could use an extra set eyes to help me troubleshoot this.
I am using the tutorial "Configure authentication in a sample React single-page application by using Azure Active Directory B2C" (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory-b2c/configure-authentication-sample-react-spa-app#prerequisites)
We can either do a screen sharing session or / and I can provide you with source code.
