Copy existing hosting/data/database to new hosting ASP.NET

I have an ASP.NET database/hosting and i am wanting to copy it to a new hosting/database platform, i am unsure how to explain this. i want to keep the existing hosting and data base etc as this is being used on an existing company, i am wanting it copied to a new hosting plan so i can get DEV work done on it with out interrupting the existing one
