Asp Net core 3.1 MVC

I want an Asp net core 3.1 application which has two buttons

1. Button1 makes an api call to controller action and refreshes the screen with data and changes the url
2. Button2 - make an api call to controller but no route change and no refresh screen.

I need it asap, no fancy UI is need, I just need the implementation.
