AI Program for Engineering PDF to DXF Conversion

Budget: $25 – $50 AUD

I'm seeking a skilled programmer to develop an AI program that processes single-page PDFs of simple plate cutout engineering part drawings and converts them into DXF files suitable for cutting. The program should read dimensions, not pixels, and extract the plate thickness and part name. The naming convention for the DXF files is e.g. "t=5mm name_bobscompanypart1.dxf".

Start your approach by developing a function that just handles one pdf at a time. Once it can do this correctly, make an interface such that the AI will cycle through a whole folder of pdfs and save the DXFs inside a folder titled "dxfs" inside this folder.

Please note your solution can use an open AI API or something similar to outsource some of the computing /thinking [my attempts using this saw some but limited success] the maximum cost of this however has to stay below $1 per dxf.

Ideal candidates should have:

- Extensive experience in AI programming
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and DXF files
- Good attitude regarding feedback with a desire to improve
- Capability to meet deadlines
