AI Model for Vehicle Surface Damage Detection – Scratch, Dent & Blur Identification
We are seeking an experienced AI/ML developer or team to develop a robust solution for detecting surface defects in vehicles, including scratches, dents, and blurred images. The system should analyze images captured from all four sides of a vehicle or process a 360-degree video upload to identify and annotate damaged areas.
Key Requirements:
1. Infrastructure Requirements:
- Specify the infrastructure needed to host this solution, assuming 20 concurrent users.
- Outline the cloud or on-premises setup, including GPU/CPU specifications and estimated costs.
2. Experience & Expertise:
- Share details of prior experience in developing and deploying similar AI solutions in production (excluding POCs).
- Highlight any relevant case studies or client projects.
3. Approach & Technology Stack:
- Specify whether you plan to utilize a commercially available API or train an open-source model.
- If using an open-source model, provide details on training methodology, required dataset size, and whether you need images from us.
4. Automated Damage Localization:
- The model should automatically detect and label the left door, right door, back door, and bonnet in the images.
- It should mark the identified damage areas with annotations.
5. Processing Time & Performance:
- Specify the expected response time for providing annotated results after hitting the API.
- Provide separate time estimates for image processing and video processing.
Ideal Freelancer:
- Proven expertise in AI-based computer vision and object detection.
- Experience working with automotive or industrial defect detection systems is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.) and deployment strategies.
