Hospital System Setup and Integration Instructions – Bahmni + OpenMRS + Odoo
We are Hospital Nuestra Señora del Carmen, located in Cobán, Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. We are currently in the process of implementing a comprehensive digital hospital system based on Bahmni, OpenMRS, and Odoo. We already have a dedicated instance (private server or VPS) ready for the installation of a fully functional and customized system.
Below is a detailed description of the project requirements for proper evaluation.
MAIN OBJECTIVE
Installation, configuration, integration, and customization of the following platforms in a unified, functional environment:
Bahmni EMR (latest stable version)
OpenMRS as the clinical backend
Odoo ERP for general administration, HR, pharmacy, invoicing, suppliers, and clients
REQUIRED FUNCTIONALITIES
1. Installation and General Setup
Deploy Bahmni, OpenMRS, and Odoo on our private server (Linux-based or similar).
Configure databases, services, and ensure stable connectivity.
Enable secure access (SSH / VPN / HTTPS).
2. Visual Customization
Apply institutional branding to Bahmni and Odoo interfaces:
Official hospital logo
Institutional colors (mint green, hospital blue, white)
Hospital name displayed on login or welcome screens
3. Patient Care Modules
Enable and configure the following:
Outpatient (OPD) management
Inpatient (IPD) workflows
Full patient lifecycle: registration, consultation, vital signs, diagnostics, prescriptions, orders, hospitalization, discharge
4. Custom Insurance Forms
Build custom digital forms based on predefined insurance company templates.
We will provide the existing forms in PDF or Word format.
The system should export patient and clinical data automatically into those forms.
Ideally, allow for one-click PDF generation with prefilled content.
5. Odoo for HR and Scheduling
Configure Odoo to handle:
Human resources: employee records, schedules, shift logs, attendance
Clients and suppliers
Medical scheduling, with reminders and notifications
Pharmacy stock and medication inventory
Invoicing and insurance billing
6. Queue Display Screen (Turnero)
If technically possible, implement a screen module to show patient queue numbers in waiting areas.
7. Roles and Permissions
Set up user roles and privileges for:
Super Admin
Doctors
Nurses
Lab Technicians
Admissions & Reception
Pharmacy staff
Billing and accounting
8. API Integrations (optional but desired)
Ability to integrate:
WhatsApp API: for appointment confirmations and notifications
ChatGPT API: to assist with clinical support, summaries, AI-based suggestions
Odoo API: for additional business logic or workflows
IMPLEMENTATION TIMEFRAME
Maximum duration: 4 weeks from project initiation or server handover
Weekly deliverables or milestone check-ins expected
