Conversational AI Developer for Virtual Assistant
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am developing an AI system designed to offer a highly personalized, human-like conversational experience. The focus is on creating a speech-to-speech conversational AI that can engage naturally, retain contextual memory, and adapt to individual user preferences.
The AI will be used across both desktop and mobile platforms, so experience in cross-platform deployment and optimization is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contextual Memory: Implement a memory system where the AI can retain and recall previous conversations, allowing for seamless interaction continuity.
- Dynamic Conversational Flow: Develop capabilities for handling multi-turn conversations, managing topic shifts, and returning to earlier points with ease.
- Personalization: Create an adaptive system that learns and adjusts its responses based on user preferences and past interactions.
- Conversational Pacing: Build timing mechanisms to introduce natural pauses and pacing in conversations, creating a more relaxed and human-like interaction.
- Work independently, with occasional guidance and assistance from me, to integrate the AI into desktop and mobile environments.
- Optimize the AI for edge computing so it can run efficiently on user devices.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven expertise in AI development, particularly in natural language processing (NLP) and conversational AI systems.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.
- Familiarity with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) technology or similar memory-based AI models.
- Experience with cross-platform AI deployment and edge computing.
- Strong understanding of multi-turn dialogue management and context retention.
- Ability to work independently on all aspects of development while collaborating with me for support and feedback.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with adaptive learning or personalized AI systems.
- Familiarity with conversational AI tools like Google Dialogflow or Amazon Lex.
- Knowledge of databases like Milvus or Elasticsearch for fast information retrieval.
Project Scope:
- The initial project focuses on developing the core features: Contextual Memory, Dynamic Flow, Personalization, and Conversational Pacing.
I need to web application to have the AI on "Stand-by" at all times, just like you know Alexa, and whenever I (or the user) says "Hey Alfred" the AI will come alive and ask you "Hi there {user name}, How can I help you today?"
On the mobile application, it would be great to have it to be easily accessible on the lock screen of an iphone. Like you know that you can put "shortcuts" or something on the iphone lock screen now, I would like to be able to have the app clickable there so I can easily open it up and talk to it when I want
Then it needs to have some sort of long-term memory so that it remembers all of the conversations it has with the User.
