AI System for Cross-Department Data Integration and Knowledge Sharing

We are an organization seeking an experienced freelancer (or team of freelancers) to design and implement an AI solution that seamlessly integrates data from multiple departments—such as Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and HR. The ultimate goal is to reduce the time employees spend searching for documents, status updates, and other interdepartmental insights. By leveraging existing collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or similar repositories), we want to create a secure, user-friendly system that can respond to queries in natural language.
This project focuses on setting up a robust data ingestion pipeline and event-driven indexing mechanism that continuously updates an AI knowledge base. We envision using a Large Language Model (LLM) platform to power the chatbot interface, ensuring users have fast, accurate access to department-specific information. We also need a permission model that respects our organization’s security protocols so that employees only see the content they are entitled to view.
