Ghost Walking Tour Scriptwriter
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I'm looking for a skilled scriptwriter with a background in storytelling and ghost walking tours to help me improve an existing script.
Specific Improvements Needed:
- Enhancing the humor aspects of the script
- Amplifying the spooky elements to engage the audience
- Developing characters and improving storytelling techniques
- choosing of specific adjectives (For example “condemned cell”, as opposed to “cell”)
- focusing on pair interaction ideas within the group, rather than just one person interacting.
- use of slightly more contrast and timing in stories to create funny humour.
Key Focus Areas:
- Historical events: weaving in accurate history with creative storytelling
- Urban legends: incorporating intriguing urban myths and legends
- Tragic events leading to ghostly sightings: creating a compelling narrative around these occurrences
Script Length:
The script will encompass 8 stories in total, with each story being approximately 6 mins and 30 seconds long. 1 story per location within the city.
Ideal Skillset:
- Proven experience in scriptwriting, particularly in the ghost walking tour niche
- Strong grasp of
storytelling techniques and character development - giving them names, developing them a little by giving them adjectives - " Joe was smart, as quick as fox,"..
- Ability to blend humor, factual history, and spooky elements seamlessly
- Understanding of
urban legends and their incorporation into narratives
- Capability to maintain audience engagement over a 90 -minute tour
- understanding of psychology for example - peak end effect (purposely leaving the best story/stories and jokes until the end), Halo effect, the use of sophisticated words, & an authoritative tone of voice speaking to the authority bias.
Confidentiality is also super important due to commercial interests. So an NDA would need to be signed.
If you have the creativity and storytelling skills and humour needed to create an engaging and spine-chilling ghost walking tour script, I'd love to hear from you.
