A retribution story about a 20 year old who turns to art in prison to make things right
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
My 20 year old cousin, Tre Spadoni, was living in New Orleans, partially homeless, and after being unable to pay back a loan shark $500 he needed for rent he turned to arm robbery. He went to a college campus with a realistic looking BB gun, walked into the library and forced students to withdraw money from an ATM. This was 2015.
Fast forward to 2021, he and I have been building an art company with the mission of providing a platform for other prisoners to be productive with their time, learn skills, and ultimately earn money so they don't have to turn to crime upon release. We want to break the cycle and reduce recidivism rates in our communities.
For all of October we have solo art exhibit in Dallas called Extraordinary Mistakes which will tell the story of retribution and reform Tre has undergone over the past 6 years. We also want to donate part of the proceeds to the victims.
What we need from a freelancer is the ability to write a compelling story to attract people to the gallery and get that story in front of the right media outlets so we can give back to the victims through art sales as well as grow our company to further the larger mission at hand.
