Find ONE literary analysis on the story Sonny Blues by James Baldwin that provides an interesting perspective/insight/analysis about the story. Summarize the author’s analysis and perspective of ideas (provide at least THREE points/quotes from the article) that stick out and that you never noticed. You can expand on whether you agree or disagree with that analysis. **You must quote and paraphrase from your source, as well as provide in-text citations. You must use correct signal phrases and parenthetical citations. See the sheet I have uploaded regarding how to cite correctly. You must find the literary analysis from one of the two databases I have provided. You cannot use articles from online. If the article is NOT from these databases, it will not be graded. Library databases to use: Blooms Literature and Literature Resource Center. Click on the library page in this week's module. Both databases are easy to navigate. You can plug your author and story into the search terms just like you do in a Google search. There are sidebars that allow you to narrow your search for literary analysis articles which is what you will need for this assignment. I have included the library page set up for this course that has direct access to the two databases I want you to use. (Notice also that if you are struggling, you can contact Librarian Valerie Bonilla whose information is on that page for help with the research.) If you cannot get to them because the link is not working, you will have to go through the library page. (Click on library, scroll down to databases, and search for the two databases on the list). If you have any questions, you can message me. PLAGIARISM POLICY: Your papers will be run through the turnitin.com system. If you have any quotes/information that is not cited and taken from sources online, you will receive an automatic 0 for the assignment. Remember, using your own work from previous classes is also a form of plagiarism. Please refer to my plagiarism policy in the course syllabus.
