Writer: travel rewards / points & miles (remote)

As a fast-growing online travel media, Flytrippers is looking for a travel rewards enthusiast with writing skills.
This opportunity is for you if:
-You have experience working with blogs and producing written content daily
-You’re an avid traveler eager to inspire and help other travelers with your writing
-You love collecting miles & points and want to make it your full-time career
As a remote independent contractor, you’ll have to show initiative and be entrepreneurial. You’ll work under very limited supervision in collaboration with other members of our growing team to produce great results. You would be our main content creator in the travel rewards space.
The perfect person for this role is a talented writer and a great researcher who works efficiently. Someone who can write thousands of words daily on a variety of travel rewards topics (credit cards, rewards programs, usage tips & tricks, news, and more) Writing assignments will be supplied, but we love new ideas too!)
These articles will have to be factually correct, original work that comes across as smart while being informal and fun. They have to be interesting to read but also easy to read.
We are starting this as a 3-month contract, but it can become an ongoing daily writing contract if the work meets our expectations.
Position at a glance:
-Location: Remote
-Hours: Flexible, 30-40 hours per week
-Salary: $20 - $35 / hour, varies by experience level
-Contract period: 3-month initial contract (will be renewed if satisfactory; this is a permanent need)
Responsibilities:
-Write factually correct, original quality travel rewards blog posts that come across as smart and are interesting to read (around 2,000 to 3,000 words daily)
-Conduct the required online research to get all the relevant information required to write the post
Requirements:
-You’ve been earning and using travel rewards for at least a year
-You have an eye for detail and a casual, yet professional, writing style (grammar, editing, and proofreading skills)
-You have already worked remotely, are self-disciplined & self-motivated
-You have hands-on experience with writing blog articles
-You are entrepreneurial and have a passion for helping startups succeed
-You have great written communication skills
-You have incredible attention to detail and work ethic
-You are passionate about travel
Nice to have:
-Prior knowledge of WordPress
-Understanding of SEO
-Bilingual (English/French)
