It’s not proof writing, but to rewrite the whole article in order to raise awareness for the charity and its cause. Requires a native English person to write it. Here below is a very rough draft:
“ Baur au Lac raises awareness for children suffering in gold mines
Golden Child Aid hosted a Fundraising Charity event at Baur au Lac on Saturday, for 1500 children entrapped in an illegal gold mine in Peru, called “Hell on Earth”.
La Rinconada is told to be the harshest place on earth. At an altitude of 5,500 meters above sea level a community of 70 000 mercury poisoned inhabitants fights for survival not only every day, but every minute. Being born as a child in La Rinconada means that you’re expected to start contribute to the family income as soon as you can stand on your legs. Young girls are either sent to garbage dumps to recycle horrible smelling waste or forced in to prostitution. Children as young as two years are left alone for hours, not knowing if their parents ever are coming back again. Boys turned six have no other choice than following their fathers footsteps into the mining business.
2019 the founders of Golden Child Aid decided to travel to La Rinconada for establishing the NGO as well as presenting their cause of supporting education, nutrition and protection for the children.
Exclusivity
Switzerland sources a large part of its gold from Peru, and several refineries have in deliberately sourced gold from La Rinconada, and have received bad press for it.
Trust
Golden Child Aid trusts that Swiss refineries, watch and jewelry makers will eventually join and help to raise the necessary funds to build a boarding school for orphans whose parents have died in the mines, or simply abandoned them. The NGO also hopes that the Peruvian local authorities, who have formally written several thank you letters, will provide a plot of land to build the school on.
A new Golden Child Aid event at Baur au Lac is currently being organized, and is expected to host 300 people, which include the Peruvian ambassador in Switzerland, leading Swiss refineries, including watch and jewelry makers.
Golden Child Aid wishes to thank everyone that took part of the event, and for the funds that were raised, which amounted to more thanCHF 20.000. The funds will go to buy children’s Christmas presents in form of warming clothes, toys and school equipment.
