Budget: $30 – $250 USD
This paper is to be done in group of 3, each person will provided a 6 page paper (all together 20 pages).
Country: USA
OVERALL ISSUE: Gender Violence
My Specific Issue: Child Violence within USA
ideas: child labor, etc.
a) A human rights report from the perspective of average people, an NGO, or just who you are, submitted to the United Nations Universal Periodic Review for consideration during a country’s review cycle. Though generally recommended to be 5 pages in length by the UN, you should produce one roughly 20-page report to be submitted to the UN’s UPR [NGOs routinely disregard the 5pg guideline]. Following the principles laid out by the international NGO, UPR-Info.org, construct a human rights report that covers an issue, or issue area, for a country of your choice. Focus on detailed documentation of the evidence of human rights violations on the issue, be clear about the obligations the country has under both human rights principles (usually the UDHR) and under human rights law (the treaties ratified by the country), and make recommendations for addressing the violations of human rights.
